Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru St. Helena Napa Valley 2021
We’re cooking with fire, now, good people! Rolling on with 94 POINTS…glorious 2021 Napa Cab, sourced mostly from the famed St. Helena AIDA Vineyard!!!
Saint Helena for…the…WIN!!! My hometown (at least for the last 15 years) is putting on a show here, folks — but there’s no time for popcorn! We snagged as much of this POWERHOUSE as the winery had left, almost exclusively sourced from AIDA VINEYARD. You know, the vineyard that sells its own estate wine for $300+?!? This isn’t just second-cut barrels, either, but a carefully allocated block set aside for Vineyard 29. Winemaker Keith Emerson calls these grapes his “secret weapon” and uses them strategically in blends across the portfolio. But this wine? *checks email from Keith himself* That’s right, it’s “primarily Aida block 2, clone 4, planted in 2000.” This is pure concentration, power, and muscle. Just…WOW.
If the last few wines are any indication — expect this to be GONE faster than Nic Cage in a Shelby GT 500 Mustang! Ok, maybe a bit longer than 60 seconds…but STILL! 94 points from Jeb, and while the rest of the world pays the $125 price (not to be confused with their $95 entry-level CRU)…the fastest fingers among you will snare this gem for only $39!!! That’s 68% OFF for a 2021 gem boasting “the vintage’s purity and freshness, with beautiful and classic darker currant fruits as well as notes of scorched earth, graphite, spicy oak, and some undeniable minerality.” I mean…yes, please — am I right?!?!
** All orders will be combined and shipped from our West Coast warehouse, so give it a little time, East Coasters! We’ll also include ice packs if your state’s still running hot. **
