93 POINTS for what price?! Typhon Estates defies the odds once again…under $20!!!
Say…whaaaaaa??? We love Paso’s dizzying arsenal of red blends – especially when we can score a fantastical price (like we did here!). But when you take a long-time Last Bottle legend of a winemaker like Kevin Morissey (ahem…first American invited to work in the cellars of Chateau Petrus! Plus Lagrange, Trotanoy, Stag’s Leap, Ehler’s, Etude, and MORE…), and arm him to the teeth with cabernet sauvignon, syrah, grenache, and mourvèdre – DANG! Only $18?!
I just…I can’t even! 93 POINTS at that kind of price is just BUSSIN! This will make other $18 reds seem more disappointing than Joker 2, and I promise you…one glass of this fruity, spicy, silky-smooth, downright heavenly ambrosia and you won’t be able to stop SINGING…also like Joker 2 (but in a good way, this time). Ok…no more bashing the Joker, promise…we’ve got wine to PRAISE!
70% cabernet sauvignon, 15% syrah, 10% grenache, 5% mourvèdre – 150% more delectable and stunning than it has any right to be! Those freshly roasted coffee beans! The ripe cherries, with chocolate dipped blueberries, a sweet kiss of grandma’s strawberry jam – all complemented with earthy and spice notes of star anise, roasted Provencal herbs, white pepper, and tingly-on-your-tongue cinnamon. It’s fantastically easy to sip, grin-inducing, aura-fluffing goodness to its core that you're gonna wanna drink by the caseload!
I say again…93 POINTS…ONLY $18…fly, fly, FLY!!!
