It’s drop-dead GORGEOUS, y’all – with these beautifully floral notes of roses and violets, then camphor and currant leaf, with a medley of blackberries, and black plums, and this savory edge of smoked meats, and gun flint, then crumbled rocks and an umami-rich tang of hoisin sauce – DANG! The finish is bright, and mineral, and head-numbingly complex…without question one of the better 2012 Napa reds I’ve tried in many years! 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot – this is a flat-out EPIC 2012 that was built to last – and showing like one of the vintage greats in the here and now! 96 POINTS, people! For UNDER $30!!!
