Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir – made by THE Pinot master himself, Ed Kurtzman, from two, pristine estate vineyards in California’s coolest (and hottest) AVA, for WHAT absolutely insane price?!?! Mansfield-Dunne is a benchmark producer for this region, with rich, intense kirsch and cherry fruit, zippy cranberry, some woodsy spice notes like cardamom and roasted coffee, with this mouth coating, silky texture, and a finish that percolates for 30+ seconds with those irresistible toasty marshmallow and tobacco flavors...sounds glorious, right?
