Liberalia Enologica Enebral Toro Tinta de Toro 2018

Just enough of this GLORIOUS 93 POINT Tinta de Toro for y’all, guaranteed to keep your heart and soul warm this winter, for only $12!!!

Wait, Tinta de Toro for TWELVE DOLLARS? Can it be true? Tempranillo’s darkest and most intense clone – a big, bold, and silkily layered 93 POINT magic sauce from the heart of Spanish wine in the Castilla y Leon...for a meager pittance? Yes, Yes, YES!

Dark, structured, smooth, and powerful. This is a big bad wolf coming to play. Dark plums, violets, lilacs, black cherry, rhubarb, black pepper, sage, and vanilla. WOW!  A proper fork & knife wine that you can almost chew. $12 is CHEAP – but this wine is anything but! Super concentrated, but stylish, and nicely structured – how do they do it?!

Well…because it is España! The mythical and historical land of the bull, with fireworks most every night, 10 pm dinners, and 1 am nightclub start times. Paellas, pintxos, tapas, and some of the very, very best restaurants in the world! AND WINE! Oh, how I love the wine…old vines, unapologetically bold and fierce creations grown in the most challenging of soils – Spain is a place like nowhere else. The PRICE?!?! We tasted this beauty, knew less than nothing about it, and decided to import it ourselves anyway…all to bring you this spectacular offer – at the BEST PRICE in the USA!!!

“Enebral” means a plantation of Juniper trees…one of the few plants that thrive in the region (other than grape vines). The land of Toro is not for the faint of heart…much like the wine. Dry, sandy, and red rock soils on the high, windswept plateaus of central Spain make for a challenging place to farm – and for characters every bit as gnarly as the old, own-rooted vines themselves. After decades in the vino game…we can scarcely fathom how a wine like this, from a place like Toro, can even be produced, bottled, and labeled for the price we have here…

Best not to think too much about it. Just count your lucky stars and grab what you can! TORO!
