There’s so little of this killer cab offer, and so many things going on, well, we’re at a bit of a loss to say much, although a big glass of this (at $13 for the entire bottle!!) will soothe the soul! Oh yes! From a beautiful estate along the banks of the Snake River, the Gordon family has been farming the sparse, volcanic soils since the early 80's. The Gordon Estate has overturned conventional vineyard wisdom and relies on own-rooted vines (read more here!) to produce these exceptionally balanced and fair wines of distinction.
This absolutely scrumptious and never presumptuous wine is a shocker, really. The flavors! The elegance! The price! 22 months in neutral French and American oak, big, dark raspberry-pie laden goodness, juicy and spicy, with a definite (as noted in the 93-point writeup) toffee, caramel, creme brulee note, not overdone but pretty dang tasty. For ONLY $13!!
