Grace & Grit Zinfandel Dry Creek 2023
Back by popular demand…Grace & Grit’s 94 POINT old-vine zinfandel! Dry Creek pedigree, long-time family of grape growers, from a vineyard planted in the 1800s!!! For way, WAY under $20?! Let’s do this!
Look, I’ve never claimed to be a genius…but when you’re talking about 140 year OLD VINE Zinfandel, with a mind-melting 94 POINT score, and tell me I can buy it at the simply heart-palpitating price of just SIXTEEN DOLLARS…welp, I can figure THAT equation in my sleep. The answer? Isn’t it obvious? Buy EVERYTHING you can, as fast as you can, ‘cause this just became my new go-to bottle for everything off my grill this summer (and it’s sure to become yours, too.) Spicy, heady, bright, and lusciously smooth — with the complexity of an Organic Chemistry textbook — it’s just everything I want to drink on the regular all summer and into fall (and beyond!)
The tart red fruit notes of pomegranates and cranberries, plus red cherries and raspberries combine with these sexy, pulsating Zinfandel notes of cedar and sage, rosemary and fennel, and this perfectly supple green cardamom and cinnamon finish! Ahhhh! It’s so delicious, and if you scored this before, you already know — this might be the best Zinfandel discovery of the last several years here in the Last Bottle Universe!
I mean, 140 year-old vines! ONE HUNDRED & FORTY!!! The Guadagni family has been farming grapes in Dry Creek for as long as these ancient vines have been in the ground, and now, with the 4th generation…they’re making some pretty spectacular wines in their own right. Their grapes have been used for vineyard designate bottlings from RIDGE for years, and at the end of the day — that’s about all I need to say to prove the pedigree of this historic site. Toss in the utterly heart-racing savings of OVER 73% OFF and this just became the easiest decision you’ll have to make all weekend long.
While it lasts!
