Oh my! What a day! I’m spent. Hope you got some goodies – this is definitely one of the most exciting days for exceptional Pinot, Chard, and others in recent memory for your own Last Bottle crew! But we ain’t done, YET! Martaella Vineyard Chardonnay to bring us home! If you don’t know the Russian River Valley’s Laguna de Santa Rosa region – take note! This 22-mile-long wetlands complex is one of the coolest spots in the entire RRV, with fog and moisture aplenty every morning. These heavy clay soils are unique to the area – and the wines are like nowhere else! This 94 POINT gem of a Chardonnay has this gorgeous and exotic profile – with honeysuckle and nectarines, ginger and pineapple, chipped flint and lemon verbena. Entrancing. Tantalizing. You bet! A seamless and balanced Chardonnay that builds onto a classic frame of orchard fruits, but goes ever further…and each and every sip delights and impresses. Personal favorite wine of the day?
