Cherry Kirsch, and fig newton cookies, with fresh-poured asphalt…WOW! What a nose! And the rest of this beauty is pretty stunning, too, good people! Inky black cherry and blackberry flavors, with an almost Syrah-like smoky bacon note, and this graphite/pencil lead character that lingers softly. It’s rich up front, but tapers like a Hattori Hanzō samurai sword — so fine, precise, and razor sharp! We scored about 15 cases of this 2011 wonder, and I promise you — it is already well on its way to being gone forever…
