The gut-warming Kirsch! The oozingly ripe and succulently decadent flavors of blackberries, and plums, boysenberries, and blueberries, and mixed into a blue-ribbon worthy pie of drool-worthy proportions! Then there’s the melting baker’s chocolate, and minty tobacco and smokey cedar, with spice accents of cardamom, and bay laurel, black pepper, and vanilla, and this pop of lavender and violets that lifts you up for a twirl and a spin like a Nutcracker ballerina! DANG! The finish is silky, the oak frames everything superbly, and the power is both very present and yet deceptively subtle. A “two thumbs up” Autumnal blockbuster if ever there was one!
