Andrew Will Red Blend Two Blondes Yakima Valley 2020

Andrew Will Red Blend Two Blondes Yakima Valley 2020

96 POINTS! One of the finest Bordeaux blends in the Western Hemisphere — and we’ve got it for less than $40!

Andrew Will is back at Last Bottle!!! And you just KNOW that we’ve scored this 96 pointer at the absolute BEST PRICE IN THE WORLD…again! New vintage, same unbeatable Last Bottle pricing…Andrew Will’s Two Blondes Red continues to be one of the best wines out of Washington state, the West Coast, heck…ANYWHERE!

Picture the concentration of Cheval Blanc, with the velvety texture of Pomerol’s Le Pin, the juicy opulence of Hubert de Boüard’s Château Angélus — for the price of a bottle of Château Laroque!!! THAT, my pretties, is the sort of flying monkey we’ve got on offer here today! And it’s priced even LOWER than our cray-cray deal on the 95 point 2019!!!

So…whatcha waiting for? You long-time Last Bottlers know all about Andrew Will by now. Chris Carmada started this upstart brand in the late 80s — and not only did this winery help put Washington state on the global wine map — they remain one of Washington state’s GREATEST producers…full stop! Critics have compared them to Saint Émilion’s Château Cheval Blanc — and ANY time that is done without an ounce of hyperbole…you just KNOW you’re in for a treat!

This 2020 maven — based on 33% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, and 11% Malbec — competes with wines four, five, seven times the price…and if you’re wise enough to load up quick…you just might be lucky enough to see how well these beauties age over the years and decades. I’ve already added a six pack of this baby to my collection…giving me a full six-year vertical! Even at six years young, this baby is HOWLING good. Cassis, and bits and bobs of camphor and rose petal, with this darkly concentrated medley of black cherries and blueberries, with blackberries, and red currants, drenched in dark, molten chocolate, drizzled with some Chambord, and held together with chalky, fine tannins balanced with remarkable freshness and poise. It’s robust, yet elegant, fruit-forward, but with depth and complexity. It’s a WONDER, basically. And we’ve got all 96 POINTS at the BEST PRICE ANYWHERE!

Get enough to last!

**The Two Blondes here are the golden-haired Annie Carmada and Melody Fleckenstein the wives and business partners of Chris Carmada and Bill Fleckenstein. The rumor has it that the original name of the vineyard was supposed to follow the French naming convention similar to their Ciel du Cheval vineyard, but they were denied the name Cheval Blondes and chose this instead.**
